Intelsat questions

Is Intelsat Wi-Fi fast enough for video calls?

Usually not. The satellite sits roughly 36,000 km up, so latency runs roughly 600 ms and up on GEO, which breaks live video even when bandwidth is fine. Browsing, email and messaging work well. Newer multi-orbit fits that add low-orbit capacity are the exception.

Which airlines use Intelsat?

As of August 2026, 13 airlines in the registry are flying Intelsat: Aerolineas Argentinas, Aeromexico, Air Canada, Air France, Air India, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Condor and more. Another 1 has announced or planned it.
